The Big Deal: International Perspectives and Possibilities

The Negotiations Resource Team (NRT) invites CRKN members to an OpenLine teleconference to hear how different international consortia and institutions are approaching the Big Deal issue

Why is this event being held? This CRKN OpenLine is the first of a two-part series to engage members on the Big Deal issue and inform CRKN’s overall licensing objectives.

What is the goal of the event? To inform members on key developments and considerations from international groups surrounding the Big Deal, to help members gain insight from an institution that has left a Big Deal, and identify possible areas for international collaboration.

Who should attend? CRKN members invovled in license decision-making, collections management and library operations.

Why participate? This event is a unique opportunity to engage with international colleagues on issues surrounding the Big Deal. A follow-up CRKN OpenLine planned for March 2012 will serve as forum for a moderated members-only discussion around key questions specific to CRKN’s licensing program.
